FOLLOW THESE STEPS ONCE IN THE MORNING AND ONCE IN THE EVENING BEFORE BED1:

Step 1: Ensure you wash your hands before applying the product.1

Step 2: Part your hair to expose your scalp, making sure your scalp is dry.1 If you use a comb, make sure it’s got rounded, widely spaced teeth.

Step 3: If using the foam, hold the can upside down and press the nozzle to dispense the topical foam: about half a capful. Always use the recommended 1 gram dose.1

If using the solution: apply 1mL with the dropper directly to the scalp.2

Step 4: Massage the product throughout the hair loss area and let it dry completely.

Wash your hands and you’re done.1

How to use REGAINE® Foam 5%

REGAINE® Foam is for topical and external use only. It should only be applied directly to the scalp area.1

  • Do not apply to areas of the body other than the scalp.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the foam and rinse other areas that have come into contact with the foam.
  • Make sure your hair and scalp are completely dry before applying the foam.
  • To open container: match arrow on can ring with arrow on cap. Pull off cap.
  • Hold the can upside down and press nozzle to dispense the foam onto your fingers. The total amount of foam applied should not exceed 1 gram (equivalent to the volume of half a capful).
  • The foam may begin to melt on contact with warm skin. If your fingers are warm, rinse them in cold water first. Be sure to dry them thoroughly before handling the foam.
  • The foam should be massaged lightly into the affected areas of the scalp.

REGAINE® Daily dose for Adult Men

Age: 18 to 49 years1

Dose: On a completely dry scalp and hair, apply a dose of 1 gram (equivalent to the volume of half a capful) to the total affected area twice daily.1

Leave at least 12 hours between each use.1

  • Do not exceed 2 grams in a day.

  • Do not use more than twice a day.

  • This product should NOT be used by women.

How to use REGAINE® 5% Solution: pump spray or spray-tip applicator2

Which applicator to use

The way you apply the solution to your scalp depends on the amount of baldness / thinning you have and the type of applicator you use (see the options and diagrams following). Choose which option is best for you.

Option 1 - Pump spray Applicator2

  1. This applicator works best for applying the solution to large areas of the scalp.
  2. Remove large outer cap and put it to one side; remove smaller inner cap and throw it away.
  3. Insert the spray applicator into the bottle and screw on firmly.
  4. After aiming the pump toward the centre of the bald area of the scalp, press the pump once and spread the solution with fingertips to cover all the bald area. Repeat a further 5 times. Avoid breathing in spray mist. Place outer cap back on bottle when not in use.
  5. The total of 6 sprays will deliver the 1mL dose of minoxidil that is required.
  6. Wash your hands and any other areas other than your scalp which may have come in contact with this medicine.

 

Option 2 - Extended spray-tip Applicator2

  1. This applicator works best for applying the solution to small areas of the scalp, or under hair.
  2. The pump spray applicator must be on the bottle to use the extended tip applicator. Follow steps 2 and 3 for the pump spray applicator first.
  3. Remove the small spray head from the top of the pump spray applicator; fit the extended spray-tip applicator onto the spray shaft and push down firmly. Remove the small cap on the end of the extended tip and put to one side.
  4. After aiming the applicator toward the centre of the bald area of the scalp, press the pump once and spread the solution with fingertips to cover all of the bald area. Repeat a further 5 times. Avoid breathing spray mist. Replace the small cap of the extended tip when not in use.
  5. The total of 6 sprays will deliver the 1mL dose of minoxidil that is required.
  6. Wash your hands and any other area other than your scalp which may have come in contact with this medicine

 

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER USING REGAINE® PRODUCTS

Hair growth is a naturally slow process,so it’s important to stay patient and stick to a routine. During the first 2-6 weeks after starting the treatment, you may even notice an increase in loss of hair. 1,2 Don't panic – this is totally normal, and actually a good sign.22 It means your hair follicles are shifting from a resting phase to an active growing phase. This causes new hairs to push out the older hairs. However, if hair loss continues for longer than 2 weeks, stop using REGAINE® and talk to your doctor.

SEEING RESULTS USING REGAINE FOR MEN FOAM

Results will vary from person to person. In the clinical studies 9/10 men said that they kept or regrow hair after 16 weeks when used twice a day5.

At first, the hair that has regrown will probably be soft, downy and barely visible. But after continued treatment, this new hair should become the same colour and thickness as the rest of your hair. 1,2

To continue to keep or regrow hair using REGAINE® products, you must use it twice a day, every day.1,2 If you stop, the hair that has grown will likely disappear within 3 to 4 months and your hair loss pattern will start again.2

How to get into a hair regrowth routine with REGAINE® For Men Foam

  • You brush your teeth twice daily, so applying REGAINE® for Men foam is just an additional step to your daily routine.
  • Apply twice a day, leaving at least 12 hours between applications1
  • Results won’t happen overnight. When using REGAINE® for Men Foam, more than 9 of 10 men were satisfied with dosage form and ease of use of minoxidil 5% foam at week 2436
  • Hair shedding may occur from week 2. The shedding process shouldn’t last more than 2 weeks but if it persists for longer seek medical advice.1
  • If you stop using the product, you will lose the hair that grew back and will most likely revert to the previous pattern of hair loss.
  • REGAINE® contains minoxidil the only over-the-counter active ingredient clinically proven to help stop and even reverse men's hereditary hair loss4.
