Follow These Steps Twice A Day With REGAINE® Solution for Women:3:

Step 1: Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying REGAINE® Solution for Women.3

Step 2: Part the hair into one or more rows within the hair thinning area.3

Step 3: Apply 1mL with the dropper directly onto the scalp in the hair loss area. Massage the product throughout the hair loss area and let it dry. Wash your hands well.3

How to use REGAINE® 2% Solution: pump spray or spray-tip applicator3

Which applicator to use

The way you apply the solution to your scalp depends on the amount of baldness / thinning you have and the type of applicator you use (see the options and diagrams following). Choose which option is best for you.

 

Option 1 - Pump spray Applicator3

  1. This applicator works best for applying the solution to large areas of the scalp.
  2. Remove large outer cap and put it to one side; remove smaller inner cap and throw it away.
  3. Insert the spray applicator into the bottle and screw on firmly.
  4. After aiming the pump toward the centre of the bald area of the scalp, press the pump once and spread the solution with fingertips to cover all the bald area. Repeat a further 5 times. Avoid breathing in spray mist. Place outer cap back on bottle when not in use.
  5. The total of 6 sprays will deliver the 1mL dose of minoxidil that is required.
  6. Wash your hands and any other areas other than your scalp which may have come in contact with this medicine.

 

Option 2 - Extended spray-tip Applicator2

  1. This applicator works best for applying the solution to small areas of the scalp, or under hair.
  2. The pump spray applicator must be on the bottle to use the extended tip applicator. Follow steps 2 and 3 for the pump spray applicator first.
  3. Remove the small spray head from the top of the pump spray applicator; fit the extended spray-tip applicator onto the spray shaft and push down firmly. Remove the small cap on the end of the extended tip and put to one side.
  4. After aiming the applicator toward the centre of the bald area of the scalp, press the pump once and spread the solution with fingertips to cover all of the bald area. Repeat a further 5 times. Avoid breathing spray mist. Replace the small cap of the extended tip when not in use.
  5. The total of 6 sprays will deliver the 1mL dose of minoxidil that is required.
  6. Wash your hands and any other area other than your scalp which may have come in contact with this medicine

 

It’s All About Routine

Try to think of applying REGAINE® as a new part of your daily routine. Regular, daily treatment is essential to success. If you miss an application, resume treatment as normal the next day — do not apply a double dose to make up for a missed one.3

What to Expect With REGAINE Products for Women

Hair growth is a naturally slow process, so it’s important to stay patient and stick to the routine. During the first 2-6 weeks after starting treatment, you may even notice a slight increase in hairs falling one.3 Don't panic — this is totally normal, and actually a good sign.22 It means your hair follicles are shifting from a resting phase to an active growing phase. This can cause new hairs to push out the older hairs. However, if hair loss continues for longer than 2 weeks, stop using REGAINE® and talk to your doctor.

Seeing Results After Using Regaine® Solution for Women

Results will vary from person to person. When used twice daily, results can be seen after 16 weeks of using REGAINE® for Men and Women Solution 2% 27. Once you see the results, don’t stop using the product as you will not only lose the hair that grew back, but you will most likely revert back to your previous pattern of hair loss.3

At first, your new hair will probably be soft, downy and barely visible.3 But after continued treatment, this new hair should become the same colour and thickness as the rest of your hair.3
